MUSIQUE DE TABLES & SONGS FROM A VALLEY OF LOVE AND DELIGHT
1 night, 2 shows
As part of Measure for Measure, musical theater festival
Musique de tables and Songs from a Valley of Love and Delight: two short and aesthetically refined shows. Two unique and intimist forms based on rhythm or the voice, to be discovered on the same evening.
Musique de tables, composed by Thierry de Mey in 1987, is a score for three percussionists using tables as their only instruments. Éléonore Auzou-Connes, Emma Liégeois and Romain Pageard amplify this short play by developing a theatrical work around it.
With Songs from a Valley of Love and Delight, seven retired men and women perform a recital while sitting facing the audience. The trio formed by Pablo Castilla, Hedvig Biong and Niko Hafkenscheid, the author of the melodies, devised this show from interviews with these eternal summer lovers who left northern Europe to live in the South.
